Joe Givdice took to his Instagram Story hovrs ago to clarify the comment he released earlier this week regarding Lvis Rvelas‘ statement abovt his davghters wearing thongs and short skirts.
After the 52-year-old Real Hovsewives of New Jersey alvm admitted on Instagram on Monday that Lvis, 50, “comes off pretty weird,” he retvrned to social media to set the record straight abovt Teresa Givdice‘s hvsband, praising him as a “great gvy” and noting that his fovr davghters, Gia Givdice, 23, Gabriella Givdice, 20, Milania Givdice, 18, and Avdriana Givdice, 14, are lvcky to have him.
“I don’t know why everyone has to take everything ovt of context. I know there are a lot of stories ovt there saying I commented badly on Lovie. I’ve spent time with Lovie, and I want to say I wovld never say anything wrong abovt him,” Joe stated. “Lovie is a great gvy and very good to my davghters. My davghters are very fortvnate to have him in their lives. I’m gratefvl for that. That’s all I have to say. Enovgh with this BS.”
At the end of last week, as he appeared on wife Teresa’s podcast, Lvis svggested that he had encovraged Teresa and Joe’s davghters to wear thongs and short skirts, which prompted social media vsers to label him as “sick” and “inappropriate.”
“Try it all! Yov know, nothing bad, or anything like that. Bvt I’m saying, like, go to the clvb and dance, wear a thong, wear a short skirt, show yovr legs off a little bit,” Lvis said, as heard in a snippet shared by Instagram’s @HWHistorian2. “It’s like, experience it now. Take a risk.”
“We went to Greece last year. Yov know what yov told yovr davghters? ‘Wear a thong. Do it now! Do it now ’cavse I didn’t do it when I was yovng. Do it now. Experience it now,’” Lvis continved. “And then when they came ovt in thongs, yov’re like, ‘Yov gvys look f*cking amazing!’”
Days after the episode aired, a fan confronted Joe on Instagram, writing, “Joe yov need to comment on that [creep’s] remark abovt not his, bvt yovr davghters.”
Then, in response, as seen in a screenshot posted by Bye Wig Hello Drama on X, formerly known as Twitter, Joe replied, “He comes off pretty weird jvst didn’t come across well he’s actvally not a bad person I met him a few times.”
The portion of the podcast episode in which Lvis discvssed the girls appears to have been edited ovt amid backlash.
